I have never quite understood the relationship of International Projector Corporation and Simplex. I.P.C. installed complete theatre systems, which usually included audio gear made by Lansing, Altec Lansing, Jensen or others. The projectors were the Simplex brand. Sometimes the Simplex name appears on the audio gear such as the speaker bins. Does anyone know whether I.P.C. and Simplex were separate companies or just two brand identities of the same company?[/QB]

It's my understanding that an ex-Edison employee bought a machining/manufacturing plant to build what became known as Simplex projectors, which later became known as IPC as they expanded, with Simplex as a brand name. I know Altec made Simplex branded theater systems and while the components were stock Altec, the cabs I saw were somewhat different in design. Frankly, they performed better IMO, but they were smaller, so required more bins for a given theater size.

Those are some nice looking bins, AA. They look like a mini-211, in a trapezoid box. Can you measure the mouths to give us an idea of their size??
The 210/211 has a mouth of 34" x 60", and a flare depth of 29".
The 815 has a mouth of 34" x 42", and a flare depth of 24".
